There are many different organized handgun activities at EESA using both our indoor and outdoor ranges. See below for more information!

Bullseye Shooting

Bullseye shooting is the “Olympic Style” of precision shooting, using a .22 calibre rim fire, centre fire, semi-automatic pistol, or revolver.  Your pistol or revolver is held with one hand only, and the distance from the shooter to the target is 25 metres.

Bullseye caters to the beginner and experienced shooter alike, with several courses of fire to choose from.  While considered a relaxed style of shooting, it is, and can be, quite challenging as it requires deep concentration and focus. As a result, Bullseye is recognized as a very rewarding style of shooting. The Bullseye section meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7 pm.

Cowboy Action

Cowboy Action Shooting is a multi-faceted shooting sport in which contestants compete with firearms typical of those used in the taming of the Old West. The shooting competition is staged in a unique, characterized “Old West” style. It is a timed sport in which shooters compete for prestige on a course of different shooting stages.

IDPA

IDPA as a sport is quite simply the use of practical equipment including full charge service ammunition to solve simulated “real world” self-defense scenarios. Shooters competing in IDPA events are required to use practical handguns and holsters that are truly suitable for self-defense use. No “competition only” equipment is permitted in IDPA matches since the main goal is to test the skill and ability of an individual, not his / her equipment or gamesmanship.

For more information view our IDPA pdf here.

IPSC

IPSC shooting represents a new, exciting form of sport shooting and was established to promote, maintain, and advance practical marksmanship.

IPSC shooters need to blend accuracy, power, and speed into a winning combination. Multiple targets, moving targets, targets that react when hit, penalty targets, or even partially covered targets, obstacles, movement, competitive strategies, and other techniques are all a part of IPSC to keep shooters challenged and spectators engaged.
