The Club House
Located in the middle of the property, directly in front of the main gate, the clubhouse is the hub of all of the activities at EESA. It is a large, two-storey structure housing:
Main Level:
- A large, open, multi-use space typically used for meetings, social events and other functions
- Full kitchen
- Ladies and mens washrooms
- Classroom
- Administrative office and utility rooms
- Stairs and wheelchair lift to upper level
Upper Level:
- A large, open, multi-use space typically used for indoor archery, air rifle and air pistol activities.
- Ladies and mens washrooms
- Equipment storage room
Ranges
Trap Range
Located in the middle of the property just behind the indoor range, the trap range features:
- 5 shooting stations with an automated clay thrower.
- Covered rest area for shooters and equipment
This range is approved for:
- Shotgun use only
- Ammunition is birdshot only, no overloads, buckshot or slugs permitted
- Maximum 12 gauge, 3 1/4 dram and #7 1/2 shot
Indoor Range
The indoor range is located to the north of the clubhouse and features:
- 10 individual shooting stations with automated target returns
- New, preheated air exchange system for improved ventilation and comfort
- Heated lounge with viewing window to the range area
- Ladies and mens washrooms
This range is approved for:
- Handgun (Straight walled pistol caliber only) )
- Centre-fire Rifle (handgun cartridges only – handgun cartridges are straight walled)
- Rimfire Rifle (excluding 22-Magnum & 17 Cal.)
- No Shotguns
300M Range
Located in the north corner of the property, the 300M range is the longest rifle range at EESA. This range features:
- 12 shooting stations with target stands/berms at 100, 200 and 300 meters.
- 2 steel plates at 300 meters
- Covered shooting area with cement shooting tables
This range is approved for:
- Centre fire rifle
- Rim fire rifle
- Black powder
- Shotgun (shooting slugs only)
- Handgun (pre-approved by the board of directors only)
25/45M Range
Located just north of the 50M range, this range is designed for mixed use such as IPSC and 3-Gun competitions and features a berm at 45M.
This range is approved for:
- Centre fire rifle
- Rim fire rifle
- Handgun
- Shotgun (patterning screens and clay wires only)
- Blackpowder
This range must be closed while Range #1 (Trap Range) is active.
50M Range
Located between the 45 and 100M ranges, the 50M range features:
- 12 shooting stations with target stands at 50 meters.
- Covered shooting area with divided wooden shooting tables/stations
This range is approved for:
- Handgun
- Centre fire rifle
- Rim fire rifle
- Blackpowder rifle
- No shotguns (unless EESA/CFO approved event)
100M Range
Located in the south east corner of the property, the 100M range features:
- 12 shooting stations with target stands/berms at 50, 100 meters.
- Covered shooting area with wooden shooting tables
This range is approved for:
- Centre fire rifle
- Rim fire rifle
- Black powder
- No Shotgun (unless it is an EESA/CFO approved event)
Indoor Air Pistol/Rifle and Archery Range
Located on the 2nd floor of the clubhouse, this range features:
- Mixed use area, up to 10 Air Rifle/Air Pistol or Archery stations
This range is approved for:
- Archery:
- Longbows, recurved bows, compound bows and crossbows
- Target tips only, no broadheads or practice blades
- Targets used must be approved/supplied targets
- Crossbows to shoot only 3D targets or approved blocks
- Air Rifle / Air Pistol
- All airgun types permitted (600 FPS or less only)
- Pellet ammunition only (no BB’s)
- Shooting allowed only at airgun targets with supplied backstops
South Outdoor Archery Range
Located at the southern edge of the EESA property, this range features a trail with 3D targets located at various spots along the trail.
This Range is approved for:
- All archery applications, target tips only. No broadheads or practice blades allowed.
There are absolutely no circumstances where firearms can be used on this range. See Range Rules for full safety instructions.
North Outdoor Archery Range
Located at the north side of the property (just past Range 5), this range features a walking trail with targets set up along it.
This range is approved for:
- All archery applications, target tips only. No broadheads or practice blades allowed.
There are absolutely no circumstances where firearms can be used on this range. This Range must be closed when Range 1 (Trap Range) is active. Please refer to the Range Rules for complete safety instructions.
